Mother Cyborg is a Detroit-based artist, activist, educator, DJ, technologist, and a 2019 Kresge Artist Fellow. She will present an artist talk about her internet quilts, sharing insights about big data – the scary as well as the potential – and exploring the use of art and craft as a way of discovering, understanding, and repositioning our fear with technology. “There is always something that can crash the system and it is our job to find out what that is.” ~ Mother Cyborg
